Resource Blog #3

I remember using BrainPOP in my classes and I always enjoyed it. I decided to revisit the website after several years and I am so happy that I did. It has become even better than it was before. The link above is fifteen science units that BrainPOP provides for teachers and students to use. Within each unit is a ton of topics that cover all the science material. There are 285 science topics to choose from! I love this resource because it is so easy to use and navigate. I will use this resource for my students because they can watch videos, quiz themselves, learn vocabulary, and even play games related to the topic. I think BrainPOP is a great educational website for middle grades because it is kid-friendly, simple, and interesting. There is so much on the website for teachers and students to explore.

I also want to say that BrainPOP is wonderful because it provides resources for all subjects: science, social studies, english, math, arts and music, health, and engineering and technology. Other content-area educators should check out BrainPOP to see how much it has advanced and expanded over the years because this resource can be incredibly useful in your classroom. "Whatever you teach, whatever your students want to explore, BrainPOP is a launchpad for curiosity" (BrainPOP).

  1. Taylor,
I loved this resource! I think BrainPop is an excellent tool that can be used in all content areas. students are able to use this resource and have fun engaging in a specific subject, while also mastering information being taught. I think teachers can use this resource to help assist them with in teaching. I know i will use these videos in math to possibly introduce a new topic or to help students understand a concept better! Great post!
